Why Do Some People Succeed With Internet Marketing And Others Fail? -For every successful internet business online today, there must be thousands that fail before they even get started. But what determines who succeeds and who doesn’t? Is it the idea behind the business, the person running it, or is it down to something else?
Internet marketing is probably the one business that everyone wants a piece of. Despite the dotcom crash of a few years back there is still much to do and a lot of money to be made online, and there are plenty of ways to do it as well.
Could that in fact be part of the problem? After all there are countless websites that offer you the opportunity to make money online. From auction sites to those that share a percentage of their advertising profits with their members, and sites that let you join for free and offer your freelance services to others, it can be rather overwhelming trying to figure out what opportunity is right for you. And then of course there is affiliate marketing and creating your own website…
So is this understandable element of indecision partly to blame for the failures that lie on either side of the information superhighway? The belief that everyone else is doing better than you can lead even the most determined person astray, as they drop what they’re doing to try and copy the success of someone else instead.
Of course some people point straight at the internet itself and call it a flawed model for making money, claiming that those who are successful are ‘lucky’ in some way. But you’ll notice that every single ‘lucky’ person you find is actually a very hard worker – often working harder than they have ever done before in their life.
That’s why so many people fail when it comes to online marketing. They seem to think that making money online should be easy, and while to a certain extent it does give the average person a better chance of raking in the cash than they might have anywhere else, no one said there wouldn’t be any hard work involved.
Maybe it is time to take off the blinkers and look at the internet for what it is – an avenue which can make you a lot of money, or shatter your dreams. The outcome you get all depends on one thing, and that’s you.
So will things change in the future? The trend towards more and more people giving up the rat race to work from home doing their own thing doesn’t seem to be abating, and with the idea of a job for life a long distant memory many people might give the internet a second chance. What better inspiration could there be than looking at the lives of those people who have already succeeded in using it to get ahead in life and take charge for once?
The only factor which changes when comparing someone who has succeeded online and someone who hasn’t is the nature of the person you are looking at. When you look in the mirror, which one do you see?

Three Easy Ways to Keep Your Website Content Fresh - The Three Easy Ways
Here are three easy ways to keep your content on your actual website fresh and new. If you have any questions regarding the three, feel absolutely free to contact me.
1. Post an article or video on your home page and change it every month.
Rather than letting your home page be this really boring "intro" why not jazz it up with an article or video? Ideally, this would be your own article or video but it doesn't need to be.
Of course, you don't want to display the entire article on the home page unless it is very brief. What you should do instead is post an excerpt of, perhaps the first 250 words, and then link to it on another, separate page of your site. The benefit is three-fold:
1. SEO: You get another page chock full of great content on your site. More relevant pages = search engine friendly site.
2. Reduced bounce rate: You get people to drill-down into your site. Give them a reason to go beyond page one.
3. Talent show: You show what you know right then and there on the front page.
1. Talent show: You show what you know right then and there on the front page.
If you're displaying a video, make sure you don't just display it. Use a header 1 or header 2 tag to introduce the video - perhaps to ask your visitor a question. Then, write 1-2 short paragraphs talking about the subject of the video or why you've put it there, and invite them to watch. Avoid auto-playing the video but if you do, just make sure it doesn't loop.
2. Make sure to host your newsletter archive and article archive on your actual site, not someone else's.
Many of you write a lot of articles, but you don't actually post them on your site. Sometimes it's because you offer that information in a newsletter and you don't want people to read it unless they opt-in.
For a lot of people, that's a good strategy. You will be happy to know that there are ways you can host your newsletters and articles on your site and still get a good opt-in rate.
Before we get into how to do this properly I do want to remind you of how incredibly valuable it is to have a content-rich site. Remember that most of your visitors probably do not have any inclination as to who you are. Why should they fork over money - or even more valuable: a name and an email address - to someone that hasn't proven they know what they say they know?
You can and should put everything that you put out there in your newsletters and in excellent article depots like Amazines.com on your actual website, too.
1. Give each article its own page. Use the name of the article in the URL with hyphens (check out this article's URL for an example).
2. Use proper HTML. Use h1, h2 and h3 properly. If you don't know how, read about it or make sure you hire someone who can do that for you.
3. To increase opt-in rates, put up only a teaser - maybe half of the article, and then let people know that they can read the rest of the article right away as soon as they sign up. This means that you need to have an auto-responder that sends them to your archive.
4. Link to your articles from your blog, in your Author Resource Box when you publish it elsewhere and from within your own website.
3. Keep a running list of something
This running list can be Recommended Reading (even better if you have an Amazon Associates ID), a list of resources (like my articles and resources page) or your favorite something or other. Make sure the page is designed so that this list can be added to or changed easily and frequently. Keep the newest, freshest things at the top, too.
You can highlight one or two of the items in the list with images for visual interest but the rest of the list can just be text with links (always, always, always link these items to where reader can find them or learn more about them).
If you're concerned with keeping people on your website, then add the target="_blank" attribute to the tag when you add the link (example: a href="http://www.tiadpeterson.com/blog" target="_blank"). This will open a new window so you don't "lose" anybody (although, in my humble opinion, if they want to get back to your site, they know how to use the Back button). I'm picky and choosy when it comes to using that _blank attribute. Use it wisely.

The Explosion Of Traffic Exchanges - No one who has a website is likely to turn down the chance of getting some free traffic, and that is what makes traffic exchanges so interesting and tempting for those who are new to the online marketing arena.
The idea is simple – you join the site (usually for free, although paid memberships are usually also available, giving you extra bonuses) and submit your website address for consideration. Once it is accepted you can visit the site and start surfing.
Surfing in this instance is basically visiting all the sites of everyone else who is a member. For each one you visit you will get a number of credits or partial credits, and each credit equals one single time that your own site will be viewed by someone else.
Now this describes the manual exchanges very well, but there is another phenomenon here too. Auto exchanges are those where you enter the exchange, start surfing – and then leave your computer to surf automatically on your behalf. Quite what the point of these exchanges are is anyone’s guess, since it’s logical to assume that if you are racking up the credits without viewing anyone else’s sites then they won’t be looking at yours either.
And yet traffic exchanges are still popular, and it doesn’t seem as though they are going away any time soon. While there are undoubtedly some exchanges which burst onto the scene only to disappear again just as quickly, there are others that have been around for several years and are somewhat revered in their field.
So why are they so popular? One of the reasons is that they are a good way to get extra traffic to your website, and it is almost immediate as well. As soon as you start earning credits, you gain the right to have other people visiting your site through the exchange. It’s a simple process, even if it isn’t the most effective form of website marketing you will ever get involved with.
It’s arguable that the traffic exchanges that tend to stick it out for the long term are those that target your traffic more accurately than those who don’t. You get to select the kind of websites you are interested in seeing, and everyone else does the same.
One thing that is noticeable when it comes to looking at all the new exchanges that keep popping up is that they are all essentially trying to find a new way to repackage the same thing. Different gimmicks and attractions to try and make it more interesting are all the rage, and yet if you look at the longest serving exchanges most of them don’t have any of these gimmicks at all.
It remains to be seen whether traffic exchanges last long into the internet’s future, but while there is a need for free and instant traffic – regardless of how responsive that traffic actually is – it seems fairly certain that they will be here to stay. Or at least, some of them will.

Competing in the Business World - Surviving in the business world requires making just enough sales to keep your business afloat. Competing in the business world means coming up with the best products, advertisements, and services. Move your business to a new level with commercial printing. How exactly will this help? Commercial printing tells potential clients that you are one of the "big dogs," that you are out of the surviving arena and in the competing arena.
Any type of marketing material, whether it be brochures or posters or even presentation folders, should be printed by a professional printing company. This will insure that the representation of your company is always of the highest quality. With a commercial printer, you are able to create unique projects, unlike with your office printer which can only produce standard format, and creativity will get you far in your marketing goals.
With commercial printing, you can play around with format to create the look you need. You don't have to design standard paper business cards, but instead have the option for plastic or magnetic cards. Think outside the box and turn heads with an unusual catalog size. Or capture attention with an accordion fold brochure. Depending on the type of project, a professional printer can also provide different coating options, such as aqueous versus gloss. Find a printing company that provides free templates, design help, and mailing services to make your marketing efforts easier.
Whatever your printing needs, take a step in the right direction for improving your business image. Use a commercial printer so that consumers will see that your company really is better than the competitor down the street.

Website Navigation Tips - Your doing great! Keep up the good work! This is perfect!
Everyone loves to hear praise about what they are doing. It let's you know that you are on the right track and moving forward. Such is indeed the case as it relates to Internet Marketing. Thus after reading the following website visitor response I set out to write an article on website navigation tips.
"Sorry but your web site is very confusing, I can't seem get a straight answer or article. There are too many options, with too many obstacles.
Do you have a simplified page, or a way to make this visit less challenging and time consuming?" – YV
Wow!
All my work? All my effort? And the result is, that they are right!
Do you know that their Email was worth 100% gold as compared to most compliments?
Why?
This reader has taken the time to respond. That tells me that they see hope and potential where disappoint currently resides.
The reader has shared critical feelings on the frustrations of visitors. Thus if I correct there website navigation problems there is a tremendous likelihood that I will be helping out countless other people at the same time.
Even with the bad report on my navigation YV took the time to join my newsletter list. Yet another vote in my favor with a plea to make navigation easier to, well for lack of better words, navigate.
So my obvious task was to make my website easier for YV (and who knows how many other people) to navigate. Here's good advice to follow when putting together your own website navigation.
*** Prepare your site navigation before designing ***
In my case it's to late. Fortunately I have prepared the navigation as people get into the heart of the site. But that's not going to do much for those who enter through my front page. My only option is to redesign part of my site. A mission I will indeed be embarking upon right after I write this article.
*** Keep your navigation bar clean cut & uniform ***
Fortunately, this I have already done. So building it into the front pages will be relatively painless. There's nothing worse than a navigation bar that keeps changing what's where. That confusion will lead to people leaving your website fast.
*** Be flexible in your navigation design ***
Plan for the future or it will take time to bring your site back from the past. Especially if your website is content intensive like the one I'm building. If "content is king" on the Internet (and it is) then "navigation must be queen" since a poor navigation system will not bring you many return visitors.
*** Use utilities that help beef up your websites navigation ***
OddCast Characters: There is an expense though it be nominal considering the value of this software. It's interactive and entertaining. OddCast provides people the ability to search for things directly from your website. And, if you become an affiliate partner (no charge) you can earn money by referring other people to their resources. OddCast is definetly at the top of my own wish list, and if you are serious about making a living on the Internet it should be at the top of yours also.
Google Search: It's free. You can add the code relatively painlessly. People are provided with the ability of searching for information directly from your website. And, you can make money from your visitors using Google Search from your website.
*** Wrap-Up ***
The art of creating navigation menus that work is indeed a talent to be studied. However, if you follow the above website navigation tips you'll be well on your way to happy visitors checking out your site offerings.

Warning: Colors you choose can hurt sales on your website! - Discover which colors can boost your Internet marketing results… What psychological effects are your website colors having on your potential customers? Are your colors making them beg to buy from you or are they chasing those buyers away?
Take advantage of the secret selling power of color…
Color is an important consideration of selling. Meanings are attached to colors in the same way meanings are attached to words.
When creating a website, there many aspects we need to concern ourselves with… Such as are we offering the right products at the right price, does our copy sell, how are we going to promote our website. But, do we ever really consider the colors we are using? Have we ever considered what our color selections are doing to our customers, our image and our sales?
How does your website measure up? Background colors, the color of your header, the color of your text, headlines and sub-headlines and elements can all have a psychological impact on your website visitors.
To sell, you have to be exciting….
In my 37 years of marketing, I’ve learned to do everything I could do to avoid boring my audience. You have to create excitement, get attention, show you are human, show that you really care about that potential customer. You have to set the mood and reach out to them.
OK Gil, let’s take a look at the colors on your website…
Go ahead; take a look at one of my websites listed at the end of this article.
I personally like reds on a website, something that gets attention and stands out and makes your products stand out.
Someone once told me that I shouldn’t use red, it makes people mad. (Guess he thought we were like bulls with the red cape waved in front of them) I don’t buy it, but even if it is true, we need to wake people up. They aren’t going to buy from us if they are sleeping!
Here come the colors…
Now let’s take a look at the colors and see what they do to people. Here is a list of some of the common colors and what type of psychological emotion they invoke in people: BABY BLUE is a color which implies weakness.
BLACK sophistication, elegant, seductive, mystery. It is associated with seriousness, darkness, mystery, secrecy.
BLUE is the color the majority of the world population calls its favorite color. It represents to "Trust". It is associated with trustworthiness, success, seriousness, calmness, power, professionalism. (IBM)
BROWN is associated with earth, nature, tribal, primitive, simplicity. GOLD is the color of wealth. Associated with prestige, expensive.
GREEN nature, fresh, cool, growth, abundance. It is the color of nature. It is associated with money, animals, health, healing, life, harmony. GREY is associated with neutrality, indifference, reserved.
ORANGE is a color which implies cheerful "levity". (Orange is one of Americans’ least favorite colors.) It is associated with comfort, creativity, celebration, fun, youth, affordability. PINK nurture, security. It is the color of femininity. It is associated with softness, sweetness, innocence, youthfulness, tenderness.
PURPLE royal, spirituality, dignity. It is associated with royalty, justice, ambiguity, uncertainty, luxury, fantasy, dreams. It can also have religious meaning to some people.
RED is the color of danger. It can imply risk. It is associated with love, passion, warning, excitement, food, impulse, action, adventure, excitement, strength, sex, passion, speed. They say this is good for food websites.
SILVER prestige, cold, scientific.
WHITE is associated with innocence, purity, cleanliness, simplicity. The color of pure innocence.
YELLOW warmth, sunshine, cheer, happiness. It is associated with curiosity, playfulness, cheerfulness, amusement.
Market researchers have also determined that color affects shopping habits. Impulse shoppers respond best to red-orange, black and royal blue. Shoppers who plan and stick to budgets respond best to pink, teal, light blue and navy. Traditionalists respond to pastels - pink, rose, sky blue. So how can you put this information to use?
It all depends on what kind of psychological message you want to convey with your color selection.
So what colors are you using on your website?
The say that blues against a white background should be used for business sites. I like white backgrounds and I like blue, (I’ve had several blue cars) but I’ve seen too many websites that have used blues and they were boring. So be careful!
Of course you shouldn’t count on your website colors to pull all the weight. It’s your artwork, logos and product photos that should stand out. Put them on, and extend them over your borders and bars. This gives them a 3-D look and they will appear to be popping off the pages.
Careful with using colors for your type….
Although I don’t always follow my own advice… Keep in mind that black type against a white background is best for readability. And this is your main concern. If they don’t read your message, they won’t buy from you.
Even making your message just a bit difficult to read will turn off a lot of readers. Remember, most people don’t have eyesight as good as yours! Type that too small, too fancy or has a conflicting background, won’t get read.
If you can’t use a white background behind your type, a light yellow is a good choice. Kind of like a giant Post-it note. But please, please, don’t but don’t put a giant version of your logo behind your copy block! Your designer may love it, but anyone who manages to read your whole copy block will end up with permanent eye damage.
Black type is the most readable. But sometimes we need to use a little color. Red is next best after black. Try to limit text in color to just large type like headlines
Warning: Colors you choose can hurt sales on your website!

28 Amazing Website Copywriting Tips from an Amazing Copywriter! - I really hate to brag, but I’ve written so much great copy and have been paid big bucks by so many companies, that sometimes it goes to my head. Today I’m going to share some copywriting ideas with you that should do wonders for your website!
1.Know your readers: Who’s your audience? Who will be most interested in your product or service? If you just aim at a general audience, don’t expect to get any response! You need to know who’s out there so you direct your attention right at them. What do they care about? What motivates them? What turns them off? Remember to aim at those most likely to buy, to waste your time with the rest.
2.Study the product info before writing: If you start writing before you know all the specs and features, you’ll end up with copy that’s scattered.
3.Review competitors copy: Find out what your competitors are writing about this or a similar product. While this may give you some great ideas and input, don’t fall into a trap. Often what our competitors are writing is crap, so don’t give it more importance then it really deserves. Remember, we need to do better! But then again, we might be able to steal some great ideas!
4.Keep copy flowing: Keep it moving, keep their interest, if you slow down they have a chance to jump off. Be very fearful of boring them. Too many details or technical terms can bore them. Watch out for good grammar, that can be so boring. Forget about what you learned in English class, write you would talk to someone.
5.Keep thoughts in logical order: Don’t go off on a tangent, avoid those dead-end roads. Make sure each step flows seamlessly from one step to the next as well as in a logical order.
6.Speak the reader’s language: Are you trying sell chemical engineers? Better know their language. Not only will it be more comfortable for your audience, but there’s less of a chance of you looking like an outsider. 7.Stress benefits, not features:
I’m sure you’ve heard this one before, but it just might be the most important of all these tips. Take all those features and translate them into how they most benefit your audience.
8.Identify your products most important benefit and emphasize it: Once you figure out the most important benefit, fit all the others around this one.
9.Write on a one-to-one basis and in a conversational tone: I personally, feel that this is the most important part of copywriting that you can master. Forget the grammar and style, actually talk to that person. And remember, even though this copy you are writing may be read by millions, you need to write it to one individual. When you start writing a sales letter with “Dear Friends” you know you have started off on the wrong foot. Make sure it reads “Dear Friend” and you can’t go wrong!
10.Be friendly: That’s so very important. Being friendly gets their guard down. To get a new customer you have to make a friend first. 11.Don’t let good grammar get in the way and ruin your message: We covered this earlier, good grammar is too formal and boring. There’s no place for good grammar in sales copy.
12.Beware of pet words that you overuse: We all have these words and phrases we keep using. We may not even realize it. But be careful, they can be a turnoff. (One of mine might be “make sure” and another one might be “might be! I also use too many exclamation points!)
13.Don’t state the obvious: Another way to bore your audience. It may even be insulting to some.
14.Make sure the copy matches the illustration: This should be obvious. If the product is shown performing a certain function, make sure your copy is in tune with it, and not describing a different function.
15.Tell them why they should buy from you, be authoritative: Yes, don’t be timid, and never be afraid to ask for that order.
16.Avoid long sentences: Sentences with over 12 words could be more difficult to digest. Short snappy sentences slip into their minds easier.
17.Use short words whenever possible: Along with those short sentences, use short words. Don’t try to impress someone with your long words. It won’t work. They’ll head for the door.
18.Be enthusiastic about that product: This is so important. Some of the best copy I’ve written was about things I was very enthused about. If you aren’t enthused, you will never enthuse your reader. And if you can’t enthuse them, they won’t buy from you.
19.Let copy project the company image: Need I say more? Try to get out what the company is all about. And there should be a continuous company connection from one product description to the next.
20.Write in the active, rather than passive tense: So very important! And a line or two trying to describe this point won’t to it justice. You need to find out more about my Internet Copywriters Secrets book, it’s stuffed full of examples of how to turn your copy into active tense and lists of words you can use.
21.Keep copy timely: Make sure your copy reflects a current timeline. Don’t be using any terms or phrases that will date you. The more you can make it like a news story, the more powerful it will be. Of course my Internet Copywriting Secrets book has a list of words that give the image of news and being newsworthy.
22.Don’t be redundant: Not only will you waste your time and theirs, but you will irritate them. (I stole that line from a t-shirt I once owned, it said something like “Never try to teach a pig to sing, not only will you waste your time and theirs, but you will irritate the pig.
23.Be consistent: You may not notice a few inconstancies, but your reader surely will. And once you lose your creditability, you lose your order!
24.Make them feel that the product is a good value: OK, maybe this is a very expensive item and worse, it is priced higher than the competition. Explain all the benefits like they are exclusives to your product. Show that they get so much more from you that there is no way to compare prices. Demonstrate that when all these benefits are tallied up, they are really get a bargain. This may be hard to do, but I’m sure you can do it!
25.Stress exclusivity: Nothing sells like exclusivity! This purchase will bring them up to a new level. Only 3,000 others will be able to get one. They are a numbered collector’s edition. Their friends and neighbors will envy them! Be the first in their neighborhood!
26.Be complete, cover all features and benefits as well as possible objections: Sometimes we may be tempted to leave out something that may not look too good for our product, but this can be a powerful tool. First, they won’t fall for it, they are skeptical and will fill in the blanks for you, and won’t be kind about it either. So cover the objections before they do. And by bringing up something that’s not too positive about your products, this makes you seem more believable and they are more apt to believe the rest of your claims!
27.Stress newness when appropriate: Always try to find something new about your product or offer. “New” is a powerful word.
28.Be believable: Don’t exaggerate, or make your products seem too good, they just won’t believe you. Remember, it’s a rough audience out there, they are very skeptical. Get them over to your side.
Hopefully this has helped, but there is much more! If you are the least bit interested in leaning about copywriting, or finding a good copywriter, please check out my website, you won’t be sorry. Sure I’m selling my copywriting and Internet marketing books there, but there are also so many pages of free, did you see that? “FREE” copywriting facts, tips and downright secrets. You will be amazed!

Tips to Market Your Internet Business - To successfully market your internet business, you need links pointing to your website. If you don’t receive links with high page rank, your site will not receive good traffic. If you have music or a message that plays while callers are on hold, incorporate your website URL into the information that they hear. If one considers using flash in a website, at the initial glance of the site, the flash may tend to attract the casual surfer, but in fact, that flash is very distracting from the actual information that one is trying to portray.
Go to one of those free web hosts online and open a free website account. Bring collectors and galleries to your website. I maintain my own website and roam the internet with confidence. The major benefit of broadband service over dial up service is the website uploading speed.
When possible, kindly notify me of publication by sending a website link. Place website banner for the American Red Cross on your organization, family or business website. The real key to being successful with affiliate marketing is to develop a good content based website and weave your affiliate links into all your content. Another thing that is handy to have is a website of my own, where I can post my thoughts and comments (nothing sells better than your own, plain English comments and reviews) along with any other articles I can find that will help to draw visitors in and make the search engines list my site better.
The articles provide useful information that I was looking for, with a brief introduction about the author and a link to his website at the bottom of the page. For now, I want to keep you informed about the costs of running a website with paid hosting. You can’t even advertise anything related to these on your website. So, be sure to use keywords in any link text that points back to your website.
All are synonymous with software marketing and are natural phrases that would be used to describe the same website. To learn much more about publishing a newsletter, I highly recommend you to visit Christopher Knight's Email Universe website. On visiting their website, read a short summary of their business opportunity and show your interest by completing the form and supplying them email address. When someone reads your article and decides to check out your website as a result, there is a greater likelihood that the visitor will part with his/her contact information in your call to action, as you have already established some credibility via the article you wrote.
It is not only about designing a website. During designing your website, remember to try to get as much meet or substance to the top of your code just below the tag as you can. Possibly you would like some help in writing proposals, designing a latest website, or sending out press releases. I've listed few items that I feel you must know a little bit about before seriously embarking on designing a website.
Database templates also facilitate you to make changes to your site much more easily, and help you change certain elements without recreating the entire page from scratch.

The #1 Internet Marketing Mistake To Avoid - Unfortunately, the learning curve involved with Internet marketing is quite steep. It is extremely easy to make critical mistakes that can destroy your business before it even gets off the ground. This article will reveal a mistake that no online business can afford to make.
Typically when a new online business owner creates a website, the 1st area they focus on is getting as much traffic to the site as possible. On the surface, that approach seems logical. Without lots of traffic, a business cannot survive, right?
Sort of.
Generally, these new website owners focus on generating traffic from 1 of 2 sources. They either buy traffic with pay-per-click advertising, or they try to optimize their sites in hopes of getting free search engine traffic.
So, what is the problem?
The problem is that pay-per-click advertising can be quite expensive, and optimizing your site is tricky and time consuming. If your website visitors do not stay long enough to perform a desired action, all the traffic in the world is not going to make you money or have people opt-in to your list.
So, what is the solution?
The solution is to create a website that "sells." This process starts with a good headline. A large percentage of your visitors decide within 5 seconds whether or not they want to stay on your site. A headline which is impactful, provocative, and benefit driven, will entice your visitor to stay. The fact is, if you are a new website business owner, you should be spending a portion of your time reading as much information about copywriting as possible.
Your site will also sell more effectively if it is interesting and different from other sites in the same niche. In addition to acquiring copywriting skills, hiring a creative webmaster to build your site can be a good investment. It is important that you do not build a "cookie cutter" site. In other words, a site that looks like every other site in your niche. Take some time to check out websites in your niche, and get an idea what others are doing.
Once you have created a site that you think will "sell", start sending traffic to the site. Spend a relatively small amount of money on a pay-per-click campaign. It is unwise to spend lots of money generating traffic that is not converting to buyers or subscribers. Depending on the nature of your site, it can be extremely effective to build 2 sites. The landing pages should be identical except for 1 feature. The headlines could be different, for example. Test each landing page, and see which page performs the best. Changing only 1 feature of the page at a time, test the pages against each other until you determine the best performing page.
Now, you have a page that "sells!"

How To Generate A Full Time Income Flipping Websites - So, what’s all the buzz about website flipping…do people really make sizeable returns
by taking a pokey, battered old website and reselling it?
The answer is yes they do – but as with everything in online biz that is worthwhile,
it takes a level of technical skill, experience and a little business savvy to reach
the pinnacles that the pro’s have. However, if you do manage it, the sky is the limit.
We’re in the internet era just now – and websites are the houses, sparkling office
skyscrapers and (sadly) shanty towns of the internet world. Internet real estate (as
much as I dislike that term) is here to stay and will continue to create millionaires
in the months, years and decades to come.
The Evolution Of The Internet – From The Dot Com Boom And Bust To Today’s Cool
Tools For Site Creation
A decade or so ago, websites were perceived much like air travel in the fifties – they
were really reserved for the rich and/or famous. In fact, prior to the dot com boom in
the earlier years of this decade, investment banks and the clueless managers who ran
them would almost back any old start-up company as long as it had a dot com presence.
Even (or should I say especially) if the business model made no sense, was seemingly
written by a child and had serious flaws..
During the dotcom boom (while I was wrapping up my banking career), I saw companies
given the green light for investment that I’m quite sure no-one reading this would
have backed – for example Pets.com who were given so much financial backing that they
splurged on a multi-million dollar superbowl ad, bought an inflatable balloon slot for
the Macy’s parade and squandered the rest of it’s money in all sorts of idiotic ways.
A few months later, someone in management took off their dunce cap long enough to
realise that actually, products like flea lotion and kitty litter have a pretty low
mark-up and that because they took about 4 days to deliver goods, people would rather
walk five minutes to their local pet shop to buy what they needed. The company
promptly folded, after losing investors a boatload of cash.
Today, it’s a different story – the website industry is booming and the beautiful
thing is that the internet has evolved so that the smarter but smaller guy and gal
have a competitive advantage in having a website business over the big guns. While
website/blog design still requires technical aptitude, we have more tools, software
and resources to be able to put out good looking websites and blogs – one’s that can
stand up proudly against anything that a Fortune 500 company can whip up.
Of course, an alternative to building sites to resell is flipping them – buying
established sites at a low fee, doing them up, and then reselling them for a markup.
In some ways it’s a lot like real estate investment. That’s what we’ll look at next.
So, What Sort Of Things Do You Need To Know About Before Flipping Websites?
The answer is, a lot. You would not enter the world of site flipping under-prepared
any more than you would get into the real estate investment industry without a sound
understanding of how it all works (unless possibly you’re pets.com). To get into
website flipping, you’ll need to understand how the industry works. You need to set
out a clear plan on how much you expect to yield through your site flipping efforts,
and where to pick-up websites on the cheap (and where to resell them).
Make a start - learn about website flipping and what skills and knowledge you need to
do it to earn a living. Then give it a go - you may be surprised at what you can
achieve.

Should Businesses Be Worried About Data Breaches? - There cannot be many businesses around today that don’t use computers in some way, shape or form. Even if the main tasks are done using other machinery, or the business involves work that is done by hand, computers will still figure in the paperwork stages of many businesses.
And if those computers are connected to the internet, there is every chance that they may at some point be exposed to hackers and other potential threats that may be lurking with the intent to ruin or compromise the security of your data.
So should you be worried? In a word, yes. Every single day there are business owners who end up staring at their computers and wishing they had spent a little time – and money – in putting the right procedures into place to ensure their website, data and computer records were safe from harm.
A lot of businesses have their own website now, and even if they aren’t comprehensive enough to include ordering procedures online, they will still be designed to attract the attention of possible customers who can then call or phone the owner to discuss the possibility of buying goods or services from them. What you need to think is that if good search engine optimization techniques can find potential customers for you, they can just as easily draw the attention of hackers as well.
The problem with a lot of people underestimating the potential danger of their data being compromised in some way is that the dangers cannot be seen. You could be sitting in your nice cosy office somewhere in Australia, and without you even realising it someone on the other side of the world could be gleefully hacking into your computer to steal data that could make them a lot of money – or simply make them happy that they did it.
There have been a fair few businesses in the past that have made the mistake of thinking that because they don’t have any online ordering facilities or particularly valuable data held on their websites, they don’t need to worry about protecting themselves.
The problem is that some of us find it hard to comprehend that people will hack into your website just for the joy of being able to do it. It doesn’t matter that they won’t make any money from doing so: they just enjoy it in some strange way. That’s why you need to make sure you take every step you can to protect yourself.
The truth is that if you don’t do this and do are unlucky enough to be hacked, it could take ages to get your website back up and running again. That will take you away from your work and probably damage your profits, even if only for the short term. The point is that you don’t need the hassle.
Any form of web marketing that involves a website will lay you open to the possibility of being hacked into by cyber criminals. Don’t you owe it to yourself and your business to make sure you are as well protected as you could possibly be?

Proper Etiquette for Greeting Cards - Greeting cards are an excellent way for you to connect personally with your client. You can send out greeting cards for birthdays to show each customer just how important they are to you. Mail holiday cards for Christmas, Thanksgiving, the 4th of July, or any other popular holiday. Greeting card printing does not require complicated layouts, but knowing a few etiquette rules will insure that you make the right connection with customers.
1. When including a personal greeting in the card, the question always arises of whose name to put first - the husband's or the wife's? For business relationships, use the name of the person with whom your company knows and put the spouse's name second.
2. Consider your audience when sending holiday cards. You would not want to send Christmas cards to Jewish customers or Hanuka cards to Catholics or Protestants. If you do not know this information, as is the case for most companies, play it safe by a sending a general "season's greetings" card.
3. Never wait until the last minute to send holiday or birthday cards. You do not want to risk them arriving after the important day. For holiday cards, you can send them as early as a couple of weeks beforehand. Try timing birthday cards to within a week. If you order your cards at the last minute, use the mailing services offered by your greeting card printing company to save time.
4. Always use an appropriate greeting for the purpose of the card. You can play it safe by using a standard greeting or create your own for a custom message.
5. Don't forget to sign the card. You can either use copies of the owners' signatures or other top management staff or you can use a general signature such as, " From your friends at The Animal Place. "
Use custom greeting cards if you are looking for a way to maintain a more familiar relationship with customers. Just be sure to follow proper etiquette so that your greeting cards send the right message.
